The Cellars

If it’s something a little more private you’re looking for, we have a stunning secret room which was originally used for storing coal. The Cellars is an exclusive space ideal for meetings, a celebratory meal with friends or an intimate drinks reception.

Victorian Bar

Ideal for smaller gatherings, our cosy Victorian bar with ‘snob screens’ once used to separate the classes, guarantees a truly memorable experience. There are snug areas that are perfect for drinks parties of minimum 10 and maximum 20, or double up for up to 30 people.

The Dining Room

The light and elegant Formosa Dining Room can be booked exclusively for private dining, as well as canape events. The room is the largest of the three space on offer and has a grandeur of days gone by.

What's the nearest tube station?

Warwick Avenue is a mere 5 minute walk away from our pub, linking you to the Bakerloo line. Alternatively, Paddington station is situated just along the canal – either a pleasant 15 minute stroll to see the sights, or one stop on the tube to Warwick Avenue.

Can we get table service to The Cellars?

We encourage our customers to pre-order a selection of food and drinks we can bring directly to you, or use the On Tap App to order anything further on the day.

Is there a deposit to pay?

To confirm your booking we ask for a £10pp deposit and then menu choices will be required 7 days before the event date. This is all done through our user friendly online pre-ordering system.

Top quality service, food and atmosphere. We held a meeting in the cellars and had lunch afterwards which was a totally seamless experience for which the team at Prince Alfred looked after us seeing to all of our needs. Lunch was excellent and the drinks beforehand in the bar area were brilliant. Will definitely be returning!!
